A sunny afternoon at Newbury Show
a show that brings the sublime, the strange and the downright mystifying to our doorstep – ive never seen a ‘parade’ of ‘best’ cows before!
£15 per head and £5 to park the car. £4 for a show guide so not a cheap day out
also its comes with a free black hole, on entrance was this sign… we must have some wierd time dilation here – perhaps a distortion in the fabric of the space time continuum that the phone companies are controlling to slow everything down?
yep… an actual live spitting cockroach on this mans head – smashing stuff…
The procession of cows – looking good….
And the food o’ the world tent
very nice jam in here containing peas or something
Barking mad!
Today we decided that the play area needed a bit of TLC.
So calling on sis and jo we managed to wangle some free bark – at 8.30 this bright and fine morn, we were the proud owners of 1.5 tons of ex pine! Which was nice. The kids thought it was a really cool mud slide as you can see lots of fun was had!
As grandmas skip was in the way of the gates, We started wheelbarrowing the lot down the end of the garden manual labour was the only way, luckily I had some expert help from Joe who can handle a spade better than any designer I know!
and the final result 3 hours later – happy days!
Emma Peters has left the building
Nice to see our old mate Emma all the way from Portugal. She came , she went and noone was hurt – see you soon ems.
The music room takes shape…
with a bit of help from the grip fix girls…
almost there…
